Key Points to Consider When Renting Office Space

admin | January 27, 2012

Whether you are a new business looking for space, or a growing established company, here are some practical points to consider when renting office space:

Contract Length
Make sure that the length of the contract suits your needs.

Space
What amount of office space do you need and will your space allow for future growth?  When it comes to space you may find you never have enough in a small business that is constantly expanding.

So when viewing available offices on the market, ask the owners if there is the space to grow and expand as your business does.

If you are viewing an office with no furniture in, try and visualise how your desks will fit into the space available- this will give you an idea if it is the right size.  It may also be a good idea to take the measurements of the furniture you already have with you to the viewings. Remember to factor in storage units into the space and anything else you may want to keep in the office.

What’s Included?
Budget your future utility bills are not included if your space does not include them.

Location
The location of your office may be of the utmost importance and could be one of the most influential factors in you choosing one office over another. Do your research and find a place that is convenient to you and your clients.

Parking
Difficult parking for your clients can be a problem. You should also make sure that you have parking too …. one less thing to worry about.  Shetland Park has free parking.

Meeting Room
Our small business centers have meeting rooms, which are available to its tenants.
